Personalized Learning Program
In the 2015-2016 school year, three Pasadena ISD schools were chosen to participate in a nationally recognized Personalized Learning Program. The team of schools created PLT Basecamps in Carter Lomax MS, Thompson Int., and at Dobie HS. It all began two years ago with two $100,000 grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Lomax, Thompson, and Dobie were chosen to join 19 total schools across the nation to participate. The program has seen so much success that the originating school district in Redwood City, CA. in partnership with Facebook, Google and other Summit Public Schools has decided to allow other schools to join the teams, or “Basecamps” with PISD adding schools which offer Connect as an option for students in the 2016-17 school year. Bondy is one of the intermediates. Bondy will start with Connect in the 7th grade add 8th grade the next year.
